A French Grand Vin from Graves, Bordeaux, this red wine from Chateau des Gravieres uses hand picked grapes from 30 year old vines cultivated on a 3 hectare gravel soil vineyard.
Composed on average of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, the red wines of Pessac-Léognan make a good compromise between marked tannins and the greediness of the fruit. We thus find red and ripe fruits, and empyreumatic notes.
Food Suggestion: The wine is best complimented by simple red meat dishes, but will lend itself to richer casseroles, darker meats or 100% beef burgers.
