This was our most popular wine of the En Primeur campaign 2022 & 2023. Jean and Karine who own this property are fans of less oak and a fresher style of wine. We tasted bit the 2022 and the 2023 just last week and both were drinking great. They are up to 40% of the wine in amphorae to emphasise freshness in the fruit and the results are great. Leading critic James Suckling has rated the wine 91 – 92 Points. This is a great wine for those dipping their toes into En Primeur for the first time, as the price point is friendly.
"Light to medium intensity in colour; they have leaned into the vintage on these sandy gravel soils to ensure a wine that is not overly structured, careful extraction, charming sweet strawberry and raspberry fruit, fresh acidities. Unfussy, no need to wait. Harvest 13 to 21 September. 88% 1,500l foudre and 12% amphora, Karine and Jean de Colbert. Derenoncourt Consultants." - Jane Anson
