The Story

Country: Australia Region: Margaret River (WA)

Varietal: Blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec

Vintage: 2022 Colour: Red Style: Dry

Producer: Leeuwin Estate

Description:
As a cornerstone of Western Australia’s iconic Margaret River, Leeuwin Estate represents the pinnacle of Australian winemaking. Established in 1973 by Denis and Tricia Horgan - under the early mentorship of the legendary Robert Mondavi - the estate catapulted to global fame when its "Art Series" Chardonnay was named one of the world's finest by Decanter Magazine in 1981.

Leeuwin Estate Prelude Vineyards Chardonnay captures a bright, pure take on Margaret River in a generously balanced glass. The bouquet layers citrus and white stone fruit with delicate floral tones of jasmine and lemon blossom. A gentle creamy undercurrent brings hints of brioche, nougat and almond, always secondary to the wine’s freshness.

The palate carries a juicy core of lemon and peach, guided by a mineral thread and lively acidity toward a long, composed finish. The style reflects the estate’s maritime clarity and elegant touch, crafted to be inviting in youth while holding enough substance to evolve with time.
