The Story

Country: Australia Region: Clare Valley

Varietal: Semillon Vintage: 2021

Colour: White Style: Dry

Producer: Mount Horrocks

Description:
The grapes were cool crushed and de-stemmed and only the free run juice was used. The must fermented in stainless steel tanks at 14-16°C over a two to three week period. The juice was inoculated with a mixture of champagne yeasts plus other neutral yeasts and fermented to dryness. No malolactic fermentation occurred.

Ageing Potential: 7-10 Years

Tasting Note:
Lively, fragrant, lemon-lime blossom aromas and mineral notes. A lovely youthful citrus tang on the palate, bracingly firm, flinty and refreshingly long and clean. It has that crunchy vitality so prized in young Riesling along with all the finesse you could expect. Bone dry, it finishes textured and long with racy acidity.

Food Matches: Chicken / Veal / Steamed Fish
